Ongoing 4th Day Groups

Jesus said, “When two or three are gathered together for my sake, there I am in the midst of them.”  We are called to the Cursillo to develop Group Reunions. As Eduardo Bonnin, one of the founders of the Cursillo Movement said, “We must bear in mind that Group Reunions are not held so that there may be people to attend Cursillo, but the Cursillos are held so that there are people to make a Group Reunion.”  The real gift of Cursillo is in  reuniting after the 3-day weekend, in the “4th Day,” and it emphasizes the value of personal contact and sharing with other Christians after the weekend. The hope is to help one another to reach our full potential in living this Christian life. The smaller reunions, aka “4th Day Groups,” meet on a regular basis and develop sympathetic, caring, loving relationships where we are able to share and talk about our hang-ups and fears as well as our hopes and dreams. The Cursillo movement is not at all just about a nice spiritual weekend, but offers instead an ongoing reconnection to fellow Christians, from your ‘congregation’ or not, who remind each other of our calling to serve and grow in our faith.
